about me
I hold an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (UKCP), a PGDip in Integrative Counselling (BACP) and a Diploma in Supervision (UKCP). I've worked with clients for the last twelve years.
I lecture and teach at various integrative counselling and psychotherapy training organisations (details here). I've also been a BAATN (Black, African and Asian Therapy Network) Conference Speaker.
I’ve volunteered at MIND, offering accessible counselling to local communities. I've been a Specialist Mentor for a social enterprise supporting disabled and neurodivergent adults. I've delivered telephone counselling to young people at Childline. I've worked with adults with long-term mental health issues, as part of the Forest Community Project. I run workshops for therapists and those in the caring professions on privilege, othering and intersectionality, drawing on lived experience, creative, clinical and research-based themes.
My first MA was in English Language and Literature at Oxford University. I previously worked in the fields of journalism, art and creative writing.
Authentic relationships enrich my life and my work. Genuine empathy, curiosity and warmth allow us to make soul connections. I’ve faced my own life challenges. I've found compassion, care and creativity from my therapists. I aim to provide the same.
