I'm an experienced therapist, having completed my formal Diploma in Integrative Counselling and MA in Integrative Psychotherapy at one of the leading Integrative therapy training institutions in the UK and Europe.
I work as a therapist in private practise. I've also worked at the East London Mental Health Service (ELMS, previously MIND), an organisation offering short term counselling to the local community, as part of my commitment to inclusion, meaning I work with and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds. I'm committed to developing my personal and professional integration through reflective practice, supervision and Continual Professional Development (CPD).
I've worked at Highbury Counselling Centre, providing long-term therapy to clients, and as a Specialist Mentor at Diversity and Ability (DnA), a social enterprise supporting disabled and neurodiverse adults in Higher Education. I trained in and delivered telephone counselling to young people at Childline. I've also worked with adults with long-term mental health issues, in supported housing or residential care homes, as part of the Forest Community Project team. My first MA was in English Language and Literature at Oxford University. I've previously worked in the fields of journalism, art and creative writing.
The authentic relationship between us is at the heart of my practice. Genuine empathy, warmth and humour enable us to make soul connections. I've experienced in my own personal therapy the power of authentic and enabling relationships. I've faced my own life challenges, and I found compassion, care and creativity in my relationships with my therapists. I aim to provide the same.
I believe we all have the capacity for transformation, and that this is a gift we are offered throughout our lives. All we need to do is become able to receive it. We're often stronger than we realise and have more than we know. We have riches that include our bodies, our breath, and the sky above us. All we need to do is look inside, to find our true selves, and look up, to see that we're part of something bigger than us.
